"I Knocked Upon Your Door"

I knocked up on your door today.
To see if you were there.
I ask you please to let me in.
So I could say prayer.
You told me I don't have to knock.
Just open up the door.
You know your always welcome.
As all the times before.
You ask just what was troubling me?
And you ask what you could do.
I told you that I'd sinned today.
But you already knew.
You told me that life's full of sins.
And you test me everyday.
I ask you to forgive me.
And I ask if I could stay.
You told me that your here for me.
Like all the times before.
But you ask one thing of me.
When I knock upon your door.
You ask if I believe in you?
And if my faith was strong?
You ask me if I knew the difference
In what's right and wrong.
I ask you to forgive me for things I shouldn't do.
I told you that my faith is strong and I believe you.
You smiled and said I love you.
And you sent me on my way.
And you told me I had more to learn.
Before you let me stay.
But you told me to come back again.
When I'm feeling blue.
And you told me to remember

"To Be a Child Again"

I was once a child.
Full of trust, innocent and free.
Now my eyes have opened.
And I can no longer be.

Fair and open minded.
Kind and full of grace.
Loving as I use to.
The entire human race.

I see it all so different now.
Tell me...what has made this so?
This change has been long coming.
What's done it?....I don't know.

Oh to be a child again.
Eyes closed enough to see.
And hope that I might capture love.
And love might capture me.

"Do You Have Time?"

Do you have time to say a prayer?
Do you have time to show you care?
Do you have time to share a smile?
Or stop and talk to me awhile?
Do you have time to watch the sun?
As it's setting when the day is done?
Do you have time for little things?
To whistle and laugh, or even sing?
Do you have time to smell a rose?
Or sit and watch a river flow?
God's gifts are many and you will find.
There all for you if you have the time.

"A Simple Plan"

I wish for wishes on silver dishes.
And dreams on golden platters.
Memories sweet..perfect, complete.
And everything that matters.
Shooting stars and bright sunshine.
Singing songs and nursery rhymes.
Children's laughter, Bedtime prayers.
Talking to the man upstairs.
Golden sunsets, Bright blue skies.
Colors of a rainbow that fill my eyes.
A morning dove.....butterflies.
And everything I've realized.
That God has given me.
Just trying to be a simple man.
Helping others when I can.
And living with a simple plan.
Is what I'm trying do.
Time is precious..It moves on.
One day were here and then were gone.
So look at all these simple things.
And all the joy that life can bring.
Being rich is not about money.
It's a smile...A laugh...or a day that's sunny.
