"Seeing Outside Ourselves"

Don't let the brilliance of your own light.
Blind you in another's soft hue.

For greater things might quietly come.
From one deemed less by you.

Revel not in personal glory and fame.
For the time will come when your not remembered by name.

To be remembered for acts and deeds.
Meeting the challenge of another's needs.

Is a greater reward for our time here
And our purpose for being, becomes quite clear.

To help, to serve, and to be a friend.
Our reward is love at journey's end.
