"When a Child Cries"

The forces of despair within.
Walls, created by fear and screaming.
A struggle to claim the soul.
Driving sanity, to knot's ending.

Normal tolerance deemed forthright.
Thoughts, unable to be conveyed.
A testing to a smiles limit.
The senses hasten a woven braid.

The unexpected begins an ebb.
A deafening negative.....
Starts the trail of tears.
Judge, Jury and you collective.
Caught up in this angry web.
Hold dearly your temperance of the years.

I am only a small child.
Incomprehensible, no motor skill.
Yet, when the bough breaks,
Loving eyes turn to kill.
Does reason run irrational?
Think twice and lend compassion.
